What does 3ED do? 3ED delivers the Glasgow Secondary Schools Project on behalf of Glasgow City Council. Our key purpose is to create and maintain a first class secondary school estate in Glasgow. Serving Glasgowís 29 secondary schools and a pupil population of 30,000. Our initial responsibility was to design, build and refurbish Glasgowís secondary school estate, this commenced in 2000. With the construction phase substantially completed by 2002, our role has developed into the operational phase, which, with the overall outcome to make buildings safe and available for school use, includes the provision of a 24/7 facilities management service, maintenance and regular upgrading of information and communications technology (ICT) equipment. We also provide the Energy requirements (Electricity and Gas) to all of the schools.
